KnitWitch's Scifi/Fantasy Zone podcast presents a variety of science fiction and fantasy material in audio form. Each podcast will feature original or fan fiction works with periodic visits with some genre classics read by KnitWitch, guest readers or the writers themselves.

Stories presented by KnitWitch are done in her own style shaped by the oral traditions of classic stage presentation, interpretive storytelling, radio drama and readers theatre.

Who is KnitWitch?

KnitWitch (aka Máia Whitaker) has been playing with sound and performing since she was a young girl and was classically trained in music, theatre and dance through her college years.

After attending Berea College, she went on to perform as a professional singer and musician before spending several years in radio as a producer and on-air talent.  As a news reporter and show host, Maia has interviewed a variety of personalities from writers and performers to professional athletes to political candidates.

Máia and her husband of more than eighteen years enjoy gardening, fishing, singing, playing music, gaming, biking, skating and just living life with their two children in Colorado.
